Sr Director Quality Assurance
Bill joined Tapemark in March 2019, bringing over 20 years of cGMP manufacturing experience in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries. He has been an integral part in developing and sustaining GMP compliant systems in his previous leadership roles at Bio-Techne, Biovest International, Teva Pharmaceuticals (CIMA Labs, Cephalon) and Schwarz Pharma (UCB).
Implementing and developing a quality system that complies with the highest standards and promoting continuous improvement to assure safe and effective product to meet our patients' and partners' needs are his top priorities. Bill earned a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Nevada, Reno and a B.S degree in Chemistry from Northern State University.
Steven Rau is the Vice President of Engineering at Tapemark. Steve’s responsibilities include process development for everything from converting to shipping, commercial process improvements, and equipment research, design, and implementation. Steve has over 20 years of pharmaceutical and medical device experience. Steve has held several positions at Tapemark leading the Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Facilities, Project Management, and Purchasing functions.
Steve has significant knowledge in process development and part design. Steve has successful experience in all stages of medical device and pharmaceutical development, ranging from concept design, process development, clinical manufacturing, commercial process validation, to product launch. Steve is an industry leader in converting and packaging of drug and drug-device combination products, films, patches, active platforms, and other forms. He has co-authored several patents while at Tapemark. For the benefit of our clients, Steve is driven by a desire to develop and improve processes and people to their fullest potential.
Prior to joining Tapemark, Steve was with Delta Industrial as an electrical engineer designing custom web-handling machines such as those used at Tapemark.
Steve holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Marquette University in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
Director Project Management
Mark Hebaus is the Director of Project Management. He joined Tapemark in 2003 and has worked in the Operations, Sales, and Project Management groups. Mark brings a strong business background and tireless effort to Tapemark with an emphasis on Project Management. He has his B.S. from the University of Minnesota in Resource Management and earned his Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification in 2001. He completed Six Sigma Black Belt Training in 2010. Mark’s primary focus now is to work on pharmaceutical patch and film programs in addition to leading the Project Management group.
Prior to coming to Tapemark, Mark worked for the Xerox Corporation. While there, Mark was an Operations Manager, Financial Analyst and Project Manager. He managed many large international projects and teams. He established standardized processes, documentation, and strategies to ensure successful business execution. Prior to that, he served as the General Manager at a private printing company. Over the years, he has worked with customers and teams from many functional groups, positions, and technical backgrounds.
Mark has been a leader both working behind the scenes and in community involvement. He has been an active member of the Tapemark Annual Giving Campaign, Employee Council, and Corporate Safety Committee. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors at his Church and has led numerous community volunteer activities.
Director Research and Development
Marina Ruleva joined Tapemark in 2016 and now serves as Tapemark’s Research and Development Director. In her role, Marina is responsible for ensuring that Tapemark meets client objectives for researching and developing new products and technologies, as well as improving existing products. Marina provides end-to-end project oversight that includes developing and monitoring project research plans, ensuring the completion of projects within the established timelines and budget, and being involved in scaling up the production, including acquiring new equipment and altering the capabilities of existing equipment and infrastructure.
Marina has over 15 years of unique experience in mixing and coating processes in multiple industries including pharmaceutical, medical device, food and beverage, and aerospace and defense industries. Marina’s background in various industries and her diverse experience in multiple mixing and coating techniques is what has contributed to the successful completion of multiple product and process development projects at Tapemark since she joined in 2016.
Marina holds a Master of Science Degree in Manufacturing Systems from University of Saint Thomas (Minnesota) and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Science and Technology from Kaliningrad State Technical University (Russia).
R&D Engineer V
Julie Cardin is a Senior Engineer with over 40 years in various roles from operations, technical development, and Engineering. She has significant experience in the printing, medical device, and pharmaceutical industries. She has extensive experience and knowledge in process development and part design.
Julie has thrived at all stages of medical device and pharmaceutical development, from conception, process development, clinical manufacturing, commercial process validation, and product launch. Julie has substantive experience with converting and packaging of drug and drug-device combination products, films, patches, active platforms, and other forms. She has been instrumental in the successful development, approval, and launch of multiple complex products. Julie has patented inventions in packaging design.
Over the course of her career, Julie has adapted successfully over the course of Tapemark’s evolving business including flexographic printing, automotive products, electronics, and medical tapes and devices. Julie is driven by a desire to develop and improve processes to their fullest potential. Julie holds a green belt and is trained in 6 sigma, statistics, and flexographic printing.
Arunprasad Sivaraman is a Research and Development Manager at Tapemark, currently involved in leading the formulation development of various drug and drug-device combination products. He has been instrumental in development of formulation capabilities, a core business unit at Tapemark, that includes concept development, feasibility, characterization & analysis, proof-of-concept/prototype development of new technologies, intellectual property filings, technology transfer, process development, clinical supplies, and regulatory support.
Arun has amassed 10+ years of drug product development experience by working at various multinational pharmaceutical companies with increasing roles and responsibilities. His expertise includes development of transdermal and topical patches, transmucosal films, semisolids, microneedles, implants, and other drug delivery systems. He has authored patents and several peer reviewed publications, presented numerous presentations at national and international conferences, received multiple awards and an editorial team member in international scientific journals.
He holds a Doctorate in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a specialization in Pharmaceutics from Mercer University, Atlanta, Georgia; Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Fairleigh Dickinson University, New Jersey and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M. G.R Medical University, India.
VP Business Development
Delaney has spent 15+ years working for small, midsize, and large global companies in pharma and biotech industries. He brings significant clinical and commercial stage experience across contract negotiation, clinical development, business development and sales. Delaney has experience in development, preclinical through commercial and helped commercialize the first FDA cleared post prostatectomy prognostic test for prostate cancer clinical recurrence. Additionally, Delaney is co-author on several research and medical journals publications on the topic of novel live cell phenotypic biomarkers.
He has lead account development and negotiation with some of the country’s largest and renowned health care systems. Delaney has developed thought leaders and decision-maker champions across some of the world’s most premier medical institutions.
Delaney is proud to have served in the US Army where he was a decorated Black Hawk pilot and officer. Prior to serving our country, Delaney was a scholarship athlete and wrestled for the University of Minnesota wrestling team. Delaney is married to Kristin who is the mother of their two boys, Dash and Ripp.
Director Business Development
Kristie is a sales and business development professional with 26 years of experience working for a cGMP contract development and manufacturing organization in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.
Kristie possesses a demonstrated ability to assist clients through the early development phases of products through commercialization, covering a variety of dosage platforms that include soluble films (transmucosal and buccal), transdermal patches (active and passive), and other topical applications for a variety of therapeutic indications.
Her specialties include Sales and Sales Management, Marketing, Project Management, Account Management, Business Development (pharmaceutical and medical device), cGMP.
Kristie attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
R&D Chemist III
Paul Zackery is a Chemist III in the Research and Development department for Tapemark, reporting directly to the Lab Services Manager, Brian Kiefat. Paul joined Tapemark in 2015 as an analytical chemist and has utilized his background and experience to continue to work at a high level in the R&D lab to ensure every customer receives reliable and accurate test results throughout all stages of product development. Prior to joining Tapemark, Paul has experience working in a quality control lab and has also held laboratory supervisory roles.
Paul has over 15 years of experience working in the cGMP regulated industry. As a Chemist III, his primary responsibilities are method development, method validation/transfer, and coordination of ongoing stability studies. Paul is also able to use his background to provide insight into the routine environmental monitoring and water monitoring programs currently operated at Tapemark. He is a contributing member of the Tapemark Safety committee, Employee Council, and Employee Giving committee.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Minnesota with a minor in Chemistry.
